Dr. Simon has been working with children, adolescents, adults and families for over 25 years. A sought after speaker, teacher and trainer, over the years, Dr. Simon’s work has focused more and more on the issues impacting families experiencing divorce and disputes related to the care and custody of children. He has worked as a court appointed evaluator, mediator and consultant on hundreds of complex and difficult cases. Through this work, Dr. Simon has come to understand the inevitably negative impact of prolonged litigation and disputed related to child custody and co-parenting disputes. For this reason, he is extremely excited by the Collaborative approach to resolving these disputes and by the success of the Collaborative approach. Because of the way in which the approach supports the re-constituted family as a whole and minimizes conflict, the lives of children and parents and enhanced and adaptation is fostered.
