Ms. Foley is the current President of the Collaborative Family Law Group of San Diego, having previously served on its Board of Directors as its Secretary for three years. She is the Chair of the Research Committee, a committee designed to collect and report data concerning various aspects of Collaborative Cases as they are experienced through the Collaborative Family Law Group of San Diego. She also serves on the Membership Committee for the Collaborative Family Law Group of San Diego. She is on the Executive Board of CP-CAL, an organization of collaborative groups in the State of California. She is also the Vice Chair of Membership and Communications for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the San Diego County Bar Association.
Ms. Foley regularly speaks to groups interested in the Collaborative Model in an effort to spread the news about this exciting new method of transforming a family without court. She is scheduled to speak on January 13, 2006 at the University of San Diego on Ethics at the workshop offered there entitled 'Where Truth Lies: Transforming Anger and Loss into Acceptance and Closure Following Separation and Divorce'.
Ms. Foley is a former Member of the Board of Directors of the Lawyers Club of San Diego, a former member of the Board of Directors of Volunteers in Parole, a project between the State Bar of California and the California Youth Authority, a former Delegate to the State Bar Convention, and a member of the San Diego Chapter of the Certified Family Law Specialists.
Ms. Foley has lectured with many organizations, including The Rutter Group, the Law Institute, and the Women's Institute for Financial Education at its 'Second Saturday' sessions. She presented a workshop at the t IACP 7th Annual Forum entitled, "Completing the Paradigm Shift: From Litigation to Collaborative Practice in Your Private Practice: Three Recovering Litigators' Perspective on Transforming Your Legal Practice from Litigation to Alternative Dispute Resolution". She serves regularly as a Settlement Judge for the San Diego Family Law Court.
